The Minds Behind WIN Magazine

RT Hudgins | Publisher Owner, WIN Magazine
Richard Talbot "RT" Hudgins is a fourth generation show horse owner and enthusiast. His great grandmother, Esther Brockway Mahan, of Chicago, Illinois, showed Saddlebreds and won two gold medals at the Chicago International Horse Show in 1924 with her Three-Gaited mare, Glittering Glory, who was sired by Rex Peavine. The gold medals are still in the family.
Hudgins' mother, Carolyn Brockway Talbot, continued the family tradition and was a winning Saddle Seat Equitation rider. She married World, National, and Hall Of Fame champion horse trainer, Boyd Hudgins, and the family enjoyed many fun and successful years on the southern horse show circuit.
Hudgins graduated from the University of Georgia with a BA in Journalism, Advertising, Marketing, and Photography. He has spent his entire career from his college days until now in the equine press.
Lisa Murray | Social Media Coordinator, WIN Magazine

Claire Hudgins Christa | Photographer, WIN Magazine
Claire Hudgins Christa is a fourth generation equestrian on both sides of her family. Her grandparents and then parents met on the horse show circuit. Claire is sister to Win magazine’s Richard (RT) Hudgins and daughter of Boyd Hudgins. Hudgins was a World, National, and Hall Of Fame champion horse trainer.
Claire always wanted to pursue her love of the arts including photography but was encouraged not to pursue a degree in this field. She graduated from the University of Georgia with a BA in psychology but worked in the financial world as a bank manager and loan officer before leaving the corporate world to start a family. She married her college sweetheart, Dr. Michael Christa, and was blessed to be a stay-at-home mother to her two daughters for their entire time at home.
Eventually, Claire was able to pursue her passion for art and photography. She does family photography in her hometown and her photos have been featured on the cover of two local magazines. She was also pleased to begin working for her brother’s publication capturing the special horse show moments and memories of horse and rider that Claire enjoyed in her youth.
Morgan Hylton | Special Projects, WIN Magazine
Morgan Hylton has been immersed in the equestrian world since nearly the moment she was born – it was often said she learned to ride before she learned to walk.
With more than 13 years of experience in the equestrian magazine community, Hylton has photographed horse shows, conducted interviews, and written stories that captured not only competition, but also the culture, tradition, and individuality behind each event. Her work is rooted in a deep appreciation for horsemanship, movement, and the candid moments that tell the strongest stories.
Hylton is an avid outdoor enthusiast and conservationist. She is also the owner of Almost Heaven Plantation, a wingshooting destination lodge in South Carolina, where respect for land, sport, and tradition continue to influence her creative perspective.
